Papaya Cultivation: To save papaya crop from diseases, do this management immediately
Papaya Cultivation: Farmers in Rajnandgaon district are becoming more self-sufficient as a result of their extensive papaya cultivation. Papaya production does, however, encounter a variety of pests, for which the Agriculture Department has provided recommendations. Diseases include fruit rot, stem rot, leaf curl, and red spider, which are the biggest threats to the papaya crop. Attacks by red spiders cause the foliage to become yellow and the fruits to turn rough and black. The impacted leaves should be removed and buried in a hole far away in order to address this issue.

About the disease
When a plant has stem rot disease, its top peel becomes yellow and begins to rot, which causes the plant to dry up. There should be no water buildup around the plant and a suitable irrigation water drainage system in place to avoid this illness. The afflicted plants should be taken out of the field, burned, and then sprayed with either copper oxychloride (0.3 percent) or Bordeaux mixture (6:6:50).
Spray this on the crop
Whiteflies are the vectors of leaf curl disease, which causes the leaves to shrivel. Up to 80 percent of the crop may be destroyed by this disease. Planting healthy plants and removing and destroying unhealthy ones are the best ways to control it. One milliliter of dimethoate should be sprayed after a solution has been made in one liter of water to control whiteflies.
Fruits with fruit rot disease have tiny, spherical, damp patches on them that eventually enlarge and become brown or black. The fruits also fall off before they mature. Copper oxychloride 2.0 gm/liter of water or mancozeb 2.5 gm/liter of water should be sprayed to treat this illness. Additionally, it is best to remove the infected plants and their roots, burn them, and avoid planting new plants there.
