Land Reform Program: Farmers can apply like this to get the gift of free gypsum from the Agriculture Department
Land Reform Program: There is good news for the farmers of Rajasthan. To improve the condition of the farmers’ land, the Agriculture Department has decided to provide free gypsum. This program has been started under the Land Reform Program and eligible farmers will get this benefit based on the results of their soil testing. Gypsum is used to increase the fertility of less fertile and alkaline soil, which increases agricultural productivity and makes the farm soil more fertile. The goal of this project of the Agriculture Department is to increase the income of farmers and promote sustainable farming.

This facility will be provided in the development block of each district. The Agriculture Department will provide free gypsum to those farmers whose soil needs it. Farmers can contact the nearest agricultural office or agricultural supervisor for more information.
Free gypsum will be available through this process
According to M.K. Gurjar of the Agriculture Department, if you also want to get free gypsum for your land, then you have to first get your land investigated. If gypsum deficiency is found in the investigation, then you will get this benefit. Under the land reform initiative, a target has been set to provide 2645 tons of gypsum to the farmers in the Bhilwara district. So far, 120 tons of gypsum has been sent to Bhilwara by the department.
Method of application
Shankar Singh Rathore of the ATMA project advised that you first get the soil of your field tested. After the investigation, free gypsum will be available for half a hectare of land on the basis of the gypsum report. Get the report card based on soil testing. Use the Raj Kisan Saathi App for online application. The amount of gypsum required in the soil test report will also have to be mentioned in the online application. Under the land reform initiative, the farmer will get free gypsum as per the requirement of 0.5 hectares of land. At the same time, only a 50% subsidy will be available for nutrients on gypsum.
Gypsum is a boon for increasing production
Joint Director (Agriculture) Vinod Kumar Jain said that farmers will benefit greatly from free gypsum. By applying gypsum in alkaline soil, farmers can improve the condition of the land and increase the production capacity. With the use of gypsum, every crop gives more production. Gypsum is used to make the grains of the crop shine so that farmers are able to sell their crops at higher prices.
