Farmer Virendra Singh in Jagatpur village of Rampur Tehsil Sadar has surprised everyone by growing many unique types of mangoes. Langra, Dussehri, Chaunsa, Arunima, Arunika and Kesar varieties of mangoes are flourishing in his 15-acre orchard. The specialty of these mangoes is that as they ripen, they take on different colors like red, purple and golden. Virendra Singh said that he has placed an order to Gujarat for the Kesar variety. This mango is famous all over the country due to its sweet taste and aroma. Apart from being sold in the neighborhood market, mangoes from his orchard are also sent to Japan and Delhi.

You can grow juicy mangoes on the rooftop

Dwarf mangoes include the Arunima and Arunika varieties. They are easy to grow on the rooftop or in a container. Amrapali and Sensation mangoes are mixed to create the Arunima variety. It gives large, attractive fruits with a little red color. A unique variety that is becoming especially popular among gardeners is Pusa Arunima. These mangoes are unique not only because of their taste but also because of their color and form, which attract attention. Apart from improving the quality of mango production, Virendra Singh’s hard work and use of contemporary methods have started giving good profits.
