Farm Machinery Subsidy: Farmers will get subsidy on purchasing agricultural equipment, see details here

Farm Machinery Subsidy: Farmers in Rajasthan are plowing, planting, and transplanting in the fields as the Kharif season begins. Farmers will put in less effort and produce more in such a scenario if they employ contemporary agricultural equipment. For this reason, farmers are receiving 40–50% subsidies from the Rajasthani government for agricultural equipment.

How much of a subsidy will be offered for the purchase of farm equipment?

The Rajasthan Agriculture Department claims that, depending on their category, farmers would get a 40% to 50% subsidy when they buy agricultural equipment. As a result, farmers will be able to make use of contemporary agricultural equipment, which will save them time and effort.

Which farmers are eligible for the program?

The following requirements must be met in order to benefit from this scheme:

  • The farmer ought to be the owner of his own arable land.
  • The applicant’s name has to be included in the revenue records if the land is owned by an undivided family.
  • It is required to register the tractor in the farmer’s name while using tractor-driven agricultural equipment.

Only once every three years

A farmer will only get a subsidy for the same kind of agricultural equipment once every three years under any departmental program. In addition, a farmer will only get a subsidy for one piece of agricultural equipment within a fiscal year.

How do I apply?

Farmers must apply online via the Raj Kisan Saathi Portal (https://rajkisan.rajasthan.gov.in/) in order to get agricultural equipment subsidies. The farmer may apply for this on his own or by using his Janadhaar number to visit the closest e-Mitra facility. The farmer will get the receipt online after filing the application.

Documents needed to submit an application

When applying, the following paperwork is needed:

  • The Janadhaar Card
  • The copy must not be older than six months.
  • Certificate of Small/Marginal Farmer (if applicable)
  • For equipment powered by tractors, a tractor registration certificate is necessary.

Additionally, the farmer may only purchase agricultural equipment from vendors and manufacturers listed on the Raj Kisan Saathi site. Administrative permission from the Agriculture Department is required prior to purchasing the equipment.

Straight into the farmer’s account as a subsidy

The farmer’s bank account will receive a straight online payment of the state government’s agricultural equipment subsidy. To achieve this, the agriculture supervisor or assistant agriculture officer will first physically inspect the equipment. The farmer will be required to provide the machine’s purchase invoice at the time of verification.
