Sangram Singh, a farmer from Saidaha village in the Barabanki district, began growing bananas along with other crops and made a healthy profit. He is now making between 3 and 4 lakh rupees on a single harvest by growing bananas on an acre or so.

Banana grower Sangram Singh said that he has been growing G9 bananas for eight or nine years already. We now have an acre planted with bananas. Because it is sweeter than other bananas, this one is in high demand here. Along with having a large yield, it is also excellent in thickness and length. In one bigha, our agricultural expenses range from 20,000 to 25,000 rupees. The cost of its plant ranges from 16 to 18 rupees. When it comes to profit, it may reach three or four lakh rupees. This crop is unique in that it produces for two years after it is first planted; it simply has to be cared for.

In fourteen months, banana fruit begins to appear

It is quite simple to cultivate; first, the ground is leveled and extensively plowed. After creating a ridge in the field, we plant the saplings and dig trenches six feet apart. After being watered, our banana begins to grow in 13 to 14 months. We are able to harvest it and sell it in the marketplaces.
