Methods of Fish Farming: Do fish farming business with this method, there will be huge profit

Methods of Fish Farming: People are increasingly making fish farming their primary source of income. India is the world’s third-largest producer of fish. because fish aquaculture generates healthy returns for farmers. However, farmers that raise fish should use a unique approach, such as the polyculture method. More profit will result from this. This method allows for the simultaneous rearing of many fish species in a single pond. Let’s hear from a fisheries specialist. About this unique fish-growing method.

In fact, fish farming is the simplest method to increase farmers’ income, according to Shashank Naman, the fisheries inspector for Raebareli (BSc AG Allahabad University). However, fish farming using the polyculture technology allows fishery producers to easily make a fair living. Farmers greatly benefit from this approach. Farmers may raise fish of many kinds in the same pond at the same time with this technique.

What is the polyculture method?

One such approach is the polyculture technique. This allows for the simultaneous preparation of many species, whether it be via fish farming or grain production. However, by using this technique, producers may raise fish with varied diets in the same pond. As a result, they may make more money at a lower cost. Plankton feeders, herbivores, bottom feeders, and parasitic fishes are all part of this unique technique.

You may raise these fishes together

Using the polyculture approach, fish farmers may raise species such as Rohu, Katla, Black Carp, Grass Carp, and Silver Carp in the same pond. due to the fact that these fish have distinct dietary patterns. Plankton is the best food source for these fish. because it develops quickly in water, which is what fish eat exclusively.

How to make a pond

Fisheries inspector Shashank Naman advises fish farmers to clean the pond before using the polyculture technique for fish farming. The aquatic plants and tiny fish that are there should then be removed. After that, thoroughly clean and dry the pond in order to prevent weeds from growing there again. Alternatively, add 1000 kg of Mahua Cake to a 1-acre pond if there is an excessive amount of weed. The predatory fish will perish as a result. Alternatively, 200 kg of bleaching powder per acre of water might be used to destroy the predatory fish. For ten to fifteen days, its effects will last in the pond. Once the pond is entirely clean, you may use the polyculture technique to simply raise fish in it.
