Required Qualifications

Candidates must have graduated from any accredited Indian institution with a degree in mathematics, economics, commerce, etc. in order to sit for this competitive test.

Maximum Age

Candidates must be at least 21 years old to apply. In addition, the maximum age of applicants has been set based on the position. Candidates in the general category may be no older than 37 years; OBC male and female candidates and candidates in the general female category can be no older than 40; and candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes can be no older than 42.

Selection Process

Both the preliminary and main exams will be used to choose the candidates. 150 multiple-choice questions drawn from the General Studies, General Science, Mathematics, and Mental Ability Test disciplines will be asked of applicants in the preliminary test. Four points will be awarded for each right response, and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. The test has been set to last two hours and fifteen minutes. Selected candidates will be invited to the main test after passing this one.

Exam Fee

The exam cost will also need to be paid by candidates. Exam fees are Rs 540 for general and OBC applicants and Rs 135 for Bihar state SC/ST candidates, all Divyang categories, and all female candidates.
