IB Recruitment 2025: There is excellent news for those who want to work for India’s esteemed Intelligence Bureau (IB). The Ministry of Home Affairs’ Intelligence Bureau has launched a massive hiring spree for the positions of executive and security assistant. A total of 4987 positions will be filled by qualified applicants via this hiring procedure. The online application procedure for this position opened on July 26, 2025. Interested parties have until August 17, 2025, to apply. August 19, 2025, has been set as the deadline for online fee payments.
Who is eligible to apply?
The applicant must have a certificate of passing the tenth grade from an accredited board in order to apply for this position. In addition, those who possess other relevant credentials may also apply.
How much will the pay be?
The monthly remuneration for chosen applicants would range from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100. This wage has been set in accordance with the Central Government’s pay system, which is subject to periodic increases.
What is the upper age limit?
Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 27 to apply for these positions (as of August 17, 2025). Candidates from the reserved category will be granted relaxation in accordance with government regulations:
- SC/ST gets five years of rest.
- OBC receives three years of rest.
- What kind of selection procedure will it be?
Three phases will be used to choose the candidates. 100-mark multiple-choice questions covering topics including general awareness, mathematical aptitude, reasoning, English, and general studies will be included in the Tier 1 test. The test will last one hour, and each incorrect response will result in a 1/3 mark deduction.
An hour will be allotted for the Tier-2 test, which will consist of 50-mark papers. It will include questions designed to assess the applicants’ communication and analytical skills.
