Agriculture Equipment Subsidy: For Rajasthan’s landless agricultural workers, there is good news. To help these workers’ financial situation and productivity, the state government has started a new program. Under this initiative, landless agricultural workers will receive a subsidy of up to Rs 5,000 when they purchase agricultural machinery and equipment. The state government’s budget release includes this effort, which will directly help the workers in need.
Who is going to gain from the plan?
Only workers who are landless—that is, whose names do not include any registered agricultural land—will be eligible for the benefits of this program. In addition, the worker’s bank account and cellphone number must be connected to their Jan Aadhar card to benefit from the initiative.
What kind of selecting procedure will it be?
The government has established a clear procedure for choosing the program’s recipients. At the Gram Panchayat level, a committee will be established, with the Sarpanch serving as its leader. Patwari, BDO, and agricultural supervisor will be on this committee. Gram panchayat-by-gram goals will be assigned to this committee. The committee will choose employees based on the goal. Women employees, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), BPL, and other low-income, landless workers will receive priority. We will approve only one Jan Aadhar application.
How do I apply?
To get the benefits of the initiative, the committee-selected workers must apply using their Jan Aadhar number on the “Raj Kisan Sathi” mobile app. After completing the application procedure, we will grant administrative permission. The recipient has 45 days from the date of approval to purchase agricultural equipment from registered companies. The Agriculture Supervisor and Assistant Agriculture Officer will next physically inspect the agricultural equipment. Upon verification, we will directly send a Rs 5,000 subsidy to the employee’s bank account.
