What is the Chief Minister’s Minor Irrigation Scheme

Under this program, farmers are given cash assistance to complete difficult tasks. Farmers of the general category get 70% government grants, while Scheduled Caste farmers get up to 90% grants. In other words, farmers will no longer have to pay more money from their pockets, which will solve the problem of irrigation to a great extent.

“First come, first serve” principle

According to Naval Kishore, a boring technician appointed in Bijua block, farmers who get boring done under the Chief Minister’s Minor Irrigation Scheme will now also get a 6.5 HP pump set engine. For this, farmers will have to deposit only 23 thousand rupees. Also, a tank will be built to stop water in the field. This will make it easier for farmers to irrigate. A target of 15 pump set engines has been set for common farmers in the Bijua block. In this case, the selection will be on the principle of “first come, first served.” In other words, the farmer who applies first will be rewarded.
