Indira Gandhi Canal Project: Under this scheme, the government is giving subsidy to farmers for installing pumps

Indira Gandhi Canal Project: To help farmers financially, the government implements a number of initiatives. In addition, the government provides farmers with financial support for solar pump installation in addition to farming. The government of Rajasthan has also launched a solar pump irrigation initiative in four districts to aid the farmers. The government is providing farmers with financial support to construct pumps as part of this scheme.

The farmers in these four regions will benefit from this scheme. The farmers of Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, and Anupgarh would benefit from this Rajasthani government initiative. These four districts will have solar pumps installed by the state government’s Water Resources Department to irrigate arid regions. The Indira Gandhi Canal Project will be used to finish this project.

Making pumps would cost Rs 180 crore

This government project would cost about Rs 180 crore. Every farmer who installs a solar pump will get a 60% subsidy under this program. In addition, farmers will be responsible for 40% of the expenses. A bank loan may also be obtained by farmers who are having financial difficulties in order to have a solar pump manufactured. The bank allows farmers to borrow up to 30% of their expenses.

• The farmer has Rs 159340 worth of 7.5 HP surface DC pumps.

• Rs 159069 is the farmer’s share for a 7.5 HP surface AC pump.

• Rs 159340 is the farmer’s share for a 7.5 HP submersible DC pump.

• Rs 159069 is the farmer’s share for a 7.5 HP submersible AC pump.
