Rajasthan Agriculture Scheme: The government is giving 60 percent subsidy to farmers for pipeline irrigation, know how to apply

Rajasthan Agriculture Scheme: For Rajasthan’s farmers, there is good news. The government is now providing financial assistance for the installation of pipeline irrigation systems in agricultural areas. Water savings via pipeline irrigation range from 20% to 25%. This approach approach makes it possible to use less water to irrigate a larger area. The farmers benefit financially from this. The Agriculture Department also provides subsidies for pipeline irrigation in addition to drip irrigation systems.

Applications are being accepted online, and the deadline has been set for September 30. According to agriculture expert Sona Ram, the government provides subsidies to save water and make effective use of the water available for irrigation, therefore irrigating a larger area.

Qualifications needed to get a pipeline subsidy

According to agriculture expert Sona Ram, farmers get subsidies for irrigation pipelines under the State and National Agriculture Development Schemes. The farmer should own cultivable land as well as irrigation tools such as farm ponds, tube wells, and wells. Even if there are common irrigation methods, all farmers may still apply. Farms that use water sourced from other farms and do not have their own irrigation supply are also eligible to apply. In addition, the farmer needs to be aware of the pipe’s brand and production date. You must install the pipeline within 60 days of receiving administrative clearance.

This is how the pipe ought to look

According to Sona Ram, a specialist in agriculture, the IS code for HDPE pipeline should be 4984/17425:2020. The IS code for PVC pipeline should be 2.5 kg/90 mm or greater and 4984/4 kg 63 mm or more. According to IS code-16190:2014, HDPE laminated flat tube pipe must be at least 63 mm and 200 mm in length. Only 63 mm (or more) will qualify for the grant.

These records will be necessary

The most recent copies of the farmer’s Jamabandi, map trail, irrigation certificate, Janadhar card, and Aadhar card—all of which should be connected to a mobile number—are required under this program. However, if it is minor or marginal, a pipeline quotation and small marginal certificate are required. According to agricultural experts, all types of farmers would get a 50% subsidy (15000 rupees) under this arrangement. A 60 percent subsidy, or a maximum of 18,000 rupees, is provided to small or marginal farmers.
