Why is this scheme needed?
Even though Bihar is an agricultural state, many farmers still do not have access to modern equipment and resources. One such industry where more money can be earned in less time is vegetable production. Under such circumstances, the government’s subsidy program can be successful in empowering farmers economically and furthering the vegetable production of the state.
In addition, resources like free seed distribution help farmers grow vegetables on a larger amount of land by reducing the cost of production. The initiative of the state government is an important step toward making Bihar and its farmers self-reliant.
