Training and Professional Development

All recruits begin with the Basic Military Qualification course at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. This physically demanding program ensures recruits meet CAF fitness standards and gain foundational military skills.

Following basic training, candidates complete approximately 70 days of occupational training at the Canadian Forces Logistics Training Centre in Borden, Ontario. The curriculum covers supply system operations, warehousing procedures, packaging and preservation of materials, administrative support tasks, and handling of clothing and equipment distribution.

Additional specialty courses may include hazardous material control, packaging techniques, and instructional methods. Advanced training opportunities in areas such as budget management, internal audit procedures, business planning, and personnel management are offered to individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and strong performance.

Eligibility and Entry Requirements

No prior work experience is required for direct entry into this occupation. Applicants must have completed at least Grade 10 education, or Secondary 4 in Quebec.
