Indian Railway Recruitment 2025: For young people who want to work in the railroad industry, a fantastic chance has arrived. For 2025, Eastern Railway has indicated that it would be hiring thousands of apprentices. Eligible applicants will be chosen as apprentices in a variety of trades under this recruitment. Interested applicants may participate in the application process by completing the online form, which will open on August 14, 2025.
A total of 3115 positions will be filled, according to the Eastern Railway announcement. Several workshops and divisions, including those at Howrah, Sealdah, Malda, Asansol, Kanchrapara, Liluah, and Jamalpur, are the subject of this recruiting. Qualifications in Education
Applicants for these positions must have completed at least their tenth grade (secondary). In addition, the appropriate trade requires an ITI qualification. A reputable board or institution should issue the candidate’s certificate.
Age Restriction
Candidates must be at least 15 years old to apply for these positions, and they cannot be older than 24 years old. However, in accordance with government regulations, applicants from restricted categories will be granted an age relaxation.
Selection Process
For apprentice positions, there will be no written exam or interview. Selection will be made entirely on the basis of merit, which will be determined by the candidate’s ITI and 10th-grade grades. Equally scored candidates will be chosen based on their age, with older candidates being given precedence.
Instruction and Compensation
The chosen applicants will get training for a certain amount of time. They will also get a government-set stipend, or training allowance, throughout their training. Candidates will get experience working in the field after finishing the program, which may help them land a permanent position later on.
Application Fee
Candidates in the general, OBC, and EWS categories must pay a fee of $100. Candidates who are female, SC, or ST will not be required to pay a fee.
Documents Needed
Candidates must have their Aadhar card, picture, signature, caste certificate (if applicable), 10th and ITI certificates, and other documents on hand before submitting their applications online.
Application Process
Online applications will be accepted starting on August 14, 2025. The application deadline is September 13, 2025. Only online applications will be accepted via Eastern Railway’s official website, https://er.indianrailways.gov.in.
