Cultivation of Roses: Leaving the cultivation of paddy and wheat, this farmer of Barabanki is earning huge profits by cultivating this flower sitting at home
Cultivation of Roses: The growing demand for flowers in the modern era has given growers new prospects. Farmers are increasingly growing roses instead of conventional crops. Growing roses is bringing in more money for farmers than growing other crops. Farmers are receiving a reasonable price for their goods because of the market’s steady demand for roses. Rose cultivation has replaced conventional farming for many of the district’s farmers. Their financial situation has improved as a result of this shift. Rose production generates thousands of rupees in revenue for farmers each year. For farmers, this farming is turning out to be a lucrative choice.

In contrast to other crops, young farmer Raman, who lives in Manpur village in the Barabanki district, began growing roses. where he is making a healthy profit. He is growing roses in around one and a half bighas today. whereby he is making up to one lakh rupees in profit on a single crop.
More profit at lower cost
According to Raman, a farmer who grows it, he has been growing roses for the last two years, although he still mostly grows vegetables. because farming yields more profits at lower costs. because the crop is accessible for two to three years after it is sown. Currently, he has grown roses in around 1.5 bighas, at a cost of 15,000 rupees per bigha. due to the fact that one crop yields a profit of around one lakh rupees and entails the costs of plowing, water, and plant fertilizer. This flower is sold for between 100 and 200 rupees per kilogram, depending on the season. Conversely, if the market rate is favorable, the profit rises even more.
Two ways to grow roses
It is quite simple to grow. There are two methods for growing roses. However, I use the grafting approach. The land must first be thoroughly plowed in order to cultivate it. The land is then leveled and sprayed with cow dung manure. Next, two-foot-distance trenches are excavated throughout the field. The rose plant is then planted. It is then watered. Meanwhile, just six months after the plant is planted, the crop begins to appear.
