Foreign Mango Farming: Farmers like Dussehri, Chaunsa, Fazli, and Langra, who once engaged in traditional mango planting, are from Shahjadpur village in Uttar Pradesh‘s Kaushambi district. Since growing these fruits did not provide high earnings, they have now set up a foreign fruit garden and have been growing them for two or three years.

The demand for imported fruits has increased. On around eight bighas of land, farmers are growing mangoes, along with some traditional gardening. They have prepared around 100 foreign mango plants since they began technological gardening.

Included are a variety of plant types such as Amrapali, Husn Ara, Malika, Arunima, Rataul, Jauhari, and Kesar. This endeavor is bringing in a healthy profit for the farmer. Foreign mango cultivation generates an annual benefit for farmers of around 5 lakhs. Every year, farmers cultivate both kinds.

35 years of Mango arming

According to farmer Banwari Lal, he has been growing mangoes for the last thirty-five years. Additionally, he is growing traditional mango kinds, including Langra, Chaunsa, and Dussehri. In addition, he has prepared between 60 and 70 foreign mango trees, including Husn Ara, Amrapali, Arunima, Rataul, Jauhari, Kesar, and Malika.

Growing various types of mangoes has enhanced rather than lowered his revenue. Because these plants began to develop fruit at a young age, he has also planted around 100 new species. Their fruit is delicious and quite resilient. Only two years after planting do these trees begin to bear fruit, but they do so in enormous numbers, yielding healthy earnings.
