Success Story: The Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh has produced an amazing tale that would make any young person stop and ponder. In the past, farming was thought to be a losing venture, but it has recently become profitable. A young man from this area called Satya Prakash quit school in the middle of his studies to pursue farming, and he now makes millions of rupees from growing ridge gourds.

According to Satya Prakash, he has been farming vegetables for the last three to four years and now grows the ridge gourd crop on one to one and a half bigha of land.

Began Farming after Graduation

Satya Prakash continued his education till he graduated, but he had to stop in the middle of his studies because of financial difficulties. Following this, he committed himself fully to farming, which has since grown to be his main source of income.

The scaffolding approach was successful

At first, Satya Prakash grew ridge gourd on the ground, but the harvest would decay because of waterlogging in the fields during the rainy season. The Agriculture Department then provided him with information on the scaffolding process. began farming using this method and observed positive results right away.

According to him, the scaffolding approach produces a crop that is ready more rapidly, fruits that are less susceptible to illness, and a clean vegetable that is in great demand in the market.

High profit at little cost

According to Satya Prakash, he is growing ridge gourd on 1 to 1.5 bigha of land for about 8,000 to 10,000 rupees. Every season, he makes between 80 and 90 thousand rupees from farming. That translates to cheap costs and excellent revenue. He preserves the land’s health and produces a decent crop by using contemporary techniques and organic fertilizers.

According to Satya Prakash, while farming is labor-intensive, profit is guaranteed provided the proper method is used and the task is completed on time. His confidence now is a testament to the fact that farming may provide respect and employment provided the objectives are sincere.

He said that a lot of the village’s young people are now approaching him to pick up agricultural tips. He is pleased to see that his accomplishments are now motivating other people.
