Aajeevika Gramin Express Scheme: This scheme of Modi government is giving loan up to ₹ 6.5 lakh without interest

Aajeevika Gramin Express Scheme: The Narendra Modi administration at the Center has a number of programs that encourage individuals to start their own businesses. Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana (AGEY) is one such program. Members of self-help groups, or SHGs, are eligible to get interest-free loans up to ₹6.5 lakh under this program. This would enable the self-help organization to purchase automobiles and launch reasonably priced, secure transportation services in rural regions.

The plan began in 2017

In 2017, the Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana was launched. The Indian government made the decision to continue this program as part of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana. In underdeveloped communities, self-help organizations provide road transport services under DAY-NRLM.

How does it operate?

This program makes use of the Community Investment Fund (CIF), which is given to Community-Based Organizations (CBO) under DAY-NRLM. The CBO uses its community investment fund to provide the recipient SHG member with an interest-free loan up to Rs 6.50 lakh to buy the car. As an alternative, the vehicle may be taken over by the community-based group. In addition, the CBO will receive the lease rent and the vehicle will be leased to the SHG member for operation.

Every car in the program has a specific color code. To assure their identity and prevent them from traveling on other routes, these vehicles are branded with the Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana.

People are made informed by the government

Let us inform you that the government periodically raises awareness of this program. Additionally, efforts are undertaken to raise awareness via social media. The Ministry of Rural Development discussed the Social Media Express program in this episode.
