Principal Duties

• Your responsibilities as an enrolled nurse at Gungahlin Medical Practice will include:
• providing nursing care within the parameters of your profession as assigned by registered nurses.
• delivering excellent nursing care that is supported by evidence while consulting the team.
• Using established methods to safely and effectively triage patients.
• developing interpersonal and communication abilities to gain patients’ trust.
• helping with minor operations, wound care, and vaccinations.
• keeping up-to-date clinical records and making sure infection control and WHS regulations are followed.
• supporting patient-centered treatment and health education programs.
• working together to maintain continuity of care with registered nurses and the larger general practice team.

Experience & Qualifications

• Currently registered with the NMBA as an enrolled nurse.
• It is recommended if you have one to two years of experience in outpatient, community health, elderly care, or general practice settings.
• strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• the capacity to prioritize and handle many things in a hectic setting.
• dedication to cooperation, patient-centered treatment, and ongoing development.
• Clinical software proficiency and computer literacy (best practice or comparable experience is preferred).

Crucial Requirements:

• Current Check for Working with Children.
• sincere enthusiasm for basic care.
