Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nursing Assistant to join the Inpatient Rehabilitation team at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. As a part-time Nursing Assistant, you will provide direct care to patients, assisting with their hygiene, mobility, and other needs under the supervision of licensed nursing professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutritional needs.
Provide routine treatments and maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Maintain patient safety and confidentiality, ensuring a secure environment.
Take and record patient vitals, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rates.
Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
Communicate changes in patient conditions to Registered Nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe nursing unit and ensure patient privacy and rights.
Actively participate in nursing performance improvement activities.
Provide exceptional care and customer service to patients, families, and staff.
Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Healthcare Provider Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
Experience: Previous healthcare or nursing assistant experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment & Schedule:
Location: St. Petersburg, Florida
Shift: Part-time, 2 day shifts per week (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
Setting: Hospital and Inpatient Rehabilitation Center
