Key Responsibilities
Sort, collect, and deliver mail safely and on time.
Maintain strong knowledge of local roads, customers, and delivery points.
Ensure all mail is securely handled.
Process Canada Post products and services, including Change of Address notifications, Damaged Mail, and IDB forms.
Wear Canada Post identification during delivery duties.
Lift and carry items up to 50 lb (22.7 kg).
Operate a motor vehicle safely in all weather and traffic conditions.
Mandatory Vehicle Requirements
Note: Requirements may vary based on route type.
Valid Class 5 (Non-GDL) driver’s license.
Clean and satisfactory driving record.
Minimum 100 cu. ft. (2832 L) cargo space.
Metal roof and accessory power outlet to support Canada Post signage and flashing light.
Fifth door/hatchback preferred for large parcels.
Maintain required automobile liability insurance.
Inform your insurance provider of vehicle use for Canada Post work.
