Hiring Now: Civil Construction Superintendent – West Memphis, AR (Contract-to-Hire)
Hiring Now: Actalent is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all on-site civil construction activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively manage crews, subcontractors, and resources. This position ensures that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days, allowing you to be home every night. A company vehicle is included with this role.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all civil construction activities on-site
Ensure project completion with a strong focus on safety, timelines, and budget control
Coordinate and supervise crews, subcontractors, and equipment
Interpret and execute blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and construction standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil construction supervision
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in project management software and MS Office
Additional Skills (Preferred but Not Required)
OSHA safety certification
Experience in project management, electrical and plumbing systems, and subcontractor oversight
Familiarity with AutoCAD, earthworks, concrete work, site construction, and grading
Knowledge of commercial construction and electrical wiring
Work Environment
This role includes both field and office work, requiring adaptability to various conditions. The balanced schedule (four 10-hour shifts) is designed to support work–life balance.
Pay Range
$35.00 – $55.00 per hour
(Depending on experience)
