Part-Time Remote SOC Analyst Needed for 12-Month Contract
Part-Time Remote: A leading organization is seeking a part-time, remote SOC Analyst (Associate Level) to support its Information Assurance Services team. The role focuses on strengthening system and network security through automated tools, established security procedures, and comprehensive reporting.

The analyst will be responsible for triaging security alerts generated by SIEM and other detection platforms, identifying potential attacks, and taking appropriate action to mitigate threats.
Contract Details
Duration: 12 months (2,080 total contract hours)
Schedule: Part-time, 16–24 hours per week
Shift: 8-hour shifts between Friday 11 PM and Sunday 11 PM EST
Location: Fully Remote, EST preferred
Key Responsibilities
Provide service to IT clients, patients, and internal teams while ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of all sensitive data.
Monitor and investigate alerts from SIEM, NGFW, EDR, NGAV, and other security technologies.
Follow SOC playbooks and procedures during incident investigations and response activities.
Maintain accurate case documentation within the case management system.
Conduct proactive threat hunting using SIEM and EDR tools.
Participate in the on-call rotation as required by the organization’s policies.
Required Qualifications
A 2-year academic degree or equivalent experience in information security or related fields.
Strong understanding of IT tools, cybersecurity best practices, and core security concepts.
Commitment to continuous learning through courses, certifications, and self-study.
Experience with technologies such as SIEM, EDR, Anti-Virus, IDS/IPS, and NGFW solutions.
Awareness of attacker tactics and willingness to stay updated on emerging threats.
