However, the administration has not yet formally announced the payment date. However, farmers should plan ahead to ensure that there are no obstacles to receiving the funds into their accounts.

What is covered by the program?

The federal government provides qualified farmers nationwide with assistance of Rs 2,000three times a year under the PM Kisan Yojana; that is, Rs 6,000 is sent straight to the bank account each year. DBT is used to transfer this amount.

Do these five things before your twentieth payment:

1. Ensure that e-KYC is completed

Please do your e-KYC right away if you haven’t already. You may do this procedure online as well. Click the e-KYC option on the PM Kisan Portal (https://pmkisan.gov.in), enter your Aadhaar number, and confirm with an OTP. If you are experiencing technological difficulties, you may also visit the closest CSC (Jan Seva Kendra) to complete e-KYC.

2. Verify whether the bank account and Aadhaar are connected

Verify that the Aadhaar card and your bank account are connected. If not, have it connected as soon as you can at the closest bank. The transfer of DBT may be hampered if this is not done.

3. Verify the bank account details once again

Verifying that your account number, IFSC code, and other details are accurate is crucial. Update the new account number if your previous one was closed. By visiting the ‘Know Your Status’ area on the PM Kisan site, you may see this update.

4. Correct the land documents

Errors in the land documents often cause the farmers’ installment to be suspended. As quickly as feasible, resolve any errors or outstanding issues in your land documentation.

5. Make changes to the cellphone number

Go to the website and update your cellphone number if it has changed or is no longer active for the PM Kisan Yojana because it receives notifications and OTP.
