Role Overview – Assistant Accountant:
As an Assistant Accountant at HYDE Perth, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations during the pre-opening phase, soft opening, and ongoing daily operations. You will work closely with the Finance Controller, GM, and department leaders to ensure smooth management of accounts, payroll, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Receivable using Opera PMS, including billing, posting, and debt follow-up.
Support Payroll processing and compliance.
Handle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and payments.
Assist with Purchasing through Purchase Plus.
Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Maintain documentation to support audit and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
2–3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in hospitality.
Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Ledger.
Experience with Opera PMS and/or Purchase Plus is a plus.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
High attention to detail with strong analytical thinking.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Clear communication with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
