Role Overview: Gartner Analyst – Cybersecurity

As a Gartner Analyst, you will develop, advise, and deliver key insights in the areas of cybersecurity, specifically targeting Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and other cybersecurity leaders. You will communicate actionable insights to clients and collaborate with internal teams to drive success. This role is critical in shaping the future of cybersecurity strategies for leading organizations.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop Insightful Content: Create thought leadership that offers compelling, actionable advice tailored to client needs.

  • Client Engagement: Lead virtual and in-person meetings, understanding client challenges, and reframing strategies to move them forward.

  • Research and Predict: Analyze and predict market trends, providing insights to clients and vendors.

  • Presentation Delivery: Develop and deliver high-value presentations at Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings.

  • Sales and Insights Support: Support sales teams with market insights and drive client engagement to help them achieve business growth.


What You Will Need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); Graduate degree preferred.

  • Experience: 10+ years in one or more of the following areas:

    • Software security, application security programs, or product security engineering.

    • Enterprise software engineering or software architecture programs.

    • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs).

  • Specialization:

    • Experience or interest in cybersecurity controls for AI and generative AI.

    • Knowledge of frameworks for securing AI technologies.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent writing ability for creating clear, detailed insights.

    • Strong communication skills to engage clients and answer questions.

    • Independent work ethic and intrinsic motivation to collaborate.

  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
