Key Responsibilities in This Role

This position centers on maintaining accurate and compliant customs-related processes for import activities. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing essential customs documentation, handling CAD entries in accordance with both internal policies and Canada Customs regulations, and resolving any rejected entries promptly. The role also involves communicating directly with importers and CBSA to coordinate documentation during customs examinations. Accurate and timely file completion remains a critical aspect of ensuring smooth operations.

Qualifications and Professional Expectations

To succeed in this role, candidates should bring three to five years of experience in Customs Brokerage along with a strong understanding of the Customs tariff. Familiarity with Cargowise (CW1) is considered beneficial, though not required. Proficiency in common digital tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential, as are strong communication skills and the ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic environment. The position requires a team-oriented mindset while also supporting independent work within a hybrid model that includes both office and home-based days.
