The primary work location is in Quebec, with duties carried out under the guidance of a Route Measurement Officer. Key Responsibilities

As a Volume Counter, your main responsibility will be to assist in gathering accurate information related to letter carrier routes. This includes preparing postal offices for volume counts, counting different types of mail on a block-by-block basis, and recording totals carefully. You will also complete route sampling forms by collecting required details directly from letter carriers.

Additional responsibilities include weighing mail items intended for delivery and assisting with basic data analysis using a calculator. Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions closely are essential for success in this role.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have completed at least Grade 10 or Secondary 4 education. Strong communication skills are necessary, including the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly. Good listening skills and basic mathematical ability are also required, as the job involves counting, recording, and weighing mail items.

Candidates should be physically capable of lifting items weighing up to 23 kilograms. Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude are key expectations. The role requires availability for a minimum of three hours per day, scheduled between early morning and noon hours.

Work Schedule and Contract Details

The work schedule is set from mid-February to late February 2026. Employees will work in the morning for three hours per day, totaling 30 hours over a 10-day temporary contract. The hourly wage for this position is competitive and set at 25.01 dollars per hour.

New hires will receive a paid training session lasting three hours prior to the start of the assignment. This training ensures all employees understand safety procedures, data collection methods, and workplace expectations.
