Your input will help maintain transparency and trust while supporting retention and motivation.
Policies, Records, and Compliance
Maintaining accurate employee records, contracts, and documentation will be a core responsibility. You will develop, update, and manage people-related policies that support consistency and legal compliance. This includes ensuring adherence to employment law, health and safety standards, and data protection requirements. Your attention to detail will help reduce risk and support professional operations.
Organisation, Process, and Systems
You will play a key role in improving people processes across the business. This includes developing clear accountability structures, improving record keeping, and implementing repeatable systems for recruitment, reviews, and training. Your work will help ensure that teams understand their responsibilities and that processes can scale as the organisation grows.
Culture and Accountability
Supporting a positive, performance-driven culture will be central to your success. You will help promote company values, fairness, and respect while encouraging high standards of conduct. By balancing empathy with commercial awareness, you will help create an environment where people feel supported, challenged, and accountable.
Candidate Profile and Experience
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in people management or operational roles involving recruitment, performance management, and compliance. Strong communication skills and the confidence to influence at all levels are essential. You should be comfortable handling sensitive employee matters and driving improvement where needed. A structured, pragmatic approach combined with flexibility and a willingness to get involved will be highly valued.
Experience within e-commerce, logistics, or operational environments is advantageous, as is a relevant HR qualification such as CIPD Level 5 or above.
