About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solution Consultant (m/f/d) – Process Industry to support our customers located across the UK or Nordics. This remote, mid-senior level role is ideal for professionals who possess strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to deliver outcome-based solutions tailored to industrial environments.
As a Solution Consultant at Belden, you will play a key role in expanding our solution pipeline, strengthening customer partnerships, and helping deliver cutting-edge technologies across multiple process industry segments. Your work will directly contribute to enabling automation, connectivity, and operational excellence across industries such as oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, water and wastewater, chemicals, and more.
Key Responsibilities
In this impactful role, you will:
Drive pipeline growth and opportunity success by designing and delivering value-driven solutions across the full portfolio of Belden brands.
Build strong customer connections by framing solutions around business outcomes and using client-specific KPIs and terminology.
Work closely with the Customer Innovation Center to support Proof of Concepts (POCs), Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and detailed network audits.
Contribute to the creation and execution of technology-focused campaigns, including webinars, trade fairs, conferences, and roadshows.
Provide crucial market insights to internal teams—including sales, product management, and R&D—to shape future solutions, product development, and segment strategies.
Your expertise will play a central role in positioning Belden as a leading technology partner committed to innovation, reliability, and operational performance.
Candidate Requirements
We are searching for a candidate who combines technical excellence with strong communication skills and strategic vision. You will bring:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, ideally focused on IT, networking, industrial automation, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience working in solution development within the industrial networking domain, ideally in the process industry (oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, water treatment, etc.).
A proven track record in sales engineering, consultancy, or services, supporting industrial customers with complex technical requirements.
Strong technical understanding of passive components such as industrial cables, connectors, and hardware essential for IT/OT systems, including knowledge of integration needs in demanding industrial environments.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, clear language for non-technical stakeholders.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
