Deckhand jobs Gulf Coast: To join our Gulf Coast dredging and maritime construction team, we are seeking a committed Deckhand. Supporting dredging operations, maintaining machinery, and guaranteeing safe and effective project execution in a dynamic offshore environment are all part of this hands-on role.

This is a full-time position that requires a lot of travel and alternating shifts. In addition to passing a drug test and pre-employment physical, candidates must be able to drive themselves to work locations.
Deckhand Position Duties
- Help in the upkeep and operation of dredges, pumps, pipes, and other maritime machinery.
- Anchors, cables, towing ropes, and mooring lines should all be secured and inspected.
- Carry out deck maintenance, painting, cleaning, and washing on ships and site equipment.
- During loading and unloading, act as a signal person for the equipment operators.
- Before beginning any activity, complete Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and adhere to safety protocols.
- When necessary, operate rough-terrain equipment and small transport trucks.
- Encourage a robust safety culture while adhering to all corporate ethics and conduct guidelines.
Qualifications
- the capacity to comprehend and adhere to spoken and written instructions in English.
- A cooperative team member with excellent communication skills is required.
- A minimum of one year of prior dredging or maritime experience is desired.

- A legitimate picture ID
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential, or TWIC Card, is recommended.
Physical specifications and working conditions
- capable of operating outside in a variety of weather situations and maritime settings.

- PPE such as respirators, safety glasses, hard hats, and PFDs must be worn.
