Located in Aurora, Ontario, WOLF fosters a dynamic team environment driven by cutting-edge research and quick development cycles. Engineers here have the opportunity to work on technologies that make a real difference in high-stakes scenarios, combining technical challenges with meaningful impact.

Role and Daily Responsibilities

As a full-time hardware design verification engineer, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Design Verification Engineering. This position centers on hands-on validation of advanced embedded video systems, ensuring seamless integration, superior reliability, and optimal performance across various platforms.

Key aspects of the role include developing comprehensive test strategies that align closely with product requirements, leading prototype bring-up processes, and conducting thorough electrical characterizations. You will debug complex issues at the board level using specialized tools, validate sophisticated high-speed interfaces, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth product transitions.

Additional duties involve creating detailed verification reports and compliance documentation, mentoring less experienced team members, and advocating for process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and quality. Given the lab-focused nature of the work, the role is primarily on-site, though it offers some hybrid flexibility to support work-life balance.

This position is ideal for those who thrive in environments involving FPGAs, GPUs, and advanced video processing technologies, where precision and problem-solving are essential for success under extreme conditions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field, along with at least five years of practical experience in verifying embedded hardware designs. Proven track record in testing platforms based on FPGAs, MPSoCs, or GPUs is highly desirable, particularly with exposure to advanced video connections.

Familiarity with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, and schematic interpretation is fundamental. Experience in crafting test plans, executing regression testing, and maintaining detailed records for regulatory and performance needs will set you apart.

While prior work in controlled government programs or ITAR-compliant settings is advantageous, the company values strong core abilities and a willingness to learn in a rapid-paced setting. Successful applicants must provide proof of Canadian or US citizenship or Canadian Permanent Residency and pass a background check with no criminal record.

Compensation and Employee Benefits

The position offers a competitive starting salary exceeding $115,000 CAD annually, adjustable according to individual expertise and background, paired with a robust benefits program aimed at supporting overall well-being and professional growth.

Highlights include extensive health coverage with a spending account, disability protection, and a dedicated wellness stipend each month. Employees receive three weeks of paid vacation, supplemented by an extra week during company-wide holidays, plus options for flexible scheduling that blend office and remote work.

After completing one year, participation in profit-sharing becomes available, and relocation assistance is provided for suitable candidates. Ongoing learning is encouraged through allocated funds for courses, industry events, and professional affiliations. The vibrant team atmosphere features frequent gatherings like shared meals, outdoor activities, and regular health-focused sessions.
